Wow – she was everything I could have hoped for and more… extremely responsive, professional, warm, and really good with time management given that we ran a bit late on my wedding day. This gal showed up to my apartment at 9:15am on a Sunday morning to do my makeup!Not only is she just a lovely bubbly gal, I love LOVED my look. She really listened to what I wanted. I wanted more than natural, but not ultra glam for my engagement photo shoot. It was perfect.I wish I could bring her to Maui for the wedding, but instead I’m settling for another session with her-this time a lesson to try and recreate her look as close as possible. She used Mac makeup and we used lashes. It lasted ALL DAY.

Minia did hair and makeup for my sister and I for an indian wedding and it was great! We only had about an hour per person for both hair and make up and she was able to do what we wanted in the limited amount of time! She is very professional and was on time for the appointment. You could also tell that she really cared about her clients as she was emailing me up-do pictures and asking for pictures of my outfit so that she could be prepared. All in all a great experience and would recommend her to friends!

I am in love with this girl! She has done my makeup for family picture, a wedding that I was attending and my son’s birthday. She also has done my mother and mother-in-law. I found Minia through Yelp. I was getting married in SF and was looking for a make up artist for the day of my wedding. I knew I wanted someone who worked with MAC cosmetics, and had read all the reviews for Minia. I texted her and received an immediate response, which showed great customer service. We exchanged emails, and I sent her a picture of me. We discussed looks I was going for and she even emailed me pictures of ideas that she thought might be good choices. My wedding was two months away, however she kept in touch and would send make up tips with lipsticks and foundations to try so that I would have them to use for touch up. I was able to “practice” in advance with the long wearing lipstick, which made me more comfortable when we used it day of. On the day of my wedding, she showed up early (which to me is on time), and came fully prepared. There was a lot of chaos in my room, however she fit right in, and did an amazing job. My eyes never looked better! She took before and after photos, and I couldn’t believe how beautiful my face looked! Minia is a complete professional and its obvious she is passionate about what she does, as it shows in her work. If anyone is looking for a make up artist for a gala, an event opening, a cocktail party, business event.. Minia is the girl for you. She is reasonably priced and you will not be disappointed! I have had my make up done for various ocassions and have never been as satisfied as I was with the job Minia did. Prior to our make up session, I communicated with Minia. She asked the right questions and came prepared with something she believed I would like. The make up stayed on all day, which I loved because a friend and I were enjoying a dinner date in Napa. Though the make up stayed on day and night, it did not feel heavy. I loved the way she made my eyes seem bigger and captivating! I even received compliments from another patron at the restaurant were we dinned. My only regret is that I will never be able to emulate what she did.

With very sensitive skin, my first option was to go with Bare Escentuals as I utilize them for my daily regimen and basic makeup. I can’t thank Minia enough for coming through at the last minute to do my hair and makeup for my wedding! I got in contact with her less than a week away from saying, “I do” for a hair and makeup trial, and she was there before the week ended. By the time it was morning of, even though she had another wedding party scheduled, she fit me right in and made me feel beautiful and special. She did an amazing job and was so professional, answering all my questions and even gave me cute little tips on taking care of my mind to ensure I enjoyed my special day. She asked a few questions about what I was wanting to achieve for hair and makeup so I showed her a few pictures. Just like that, she recreated the look and I couldn’t have been more pleased. (I’m not into crazy wild colors because I’m not sure how to apply it all, but with her experience, I would love for her to apply it on me next time I’m in need of a makeover/makeup artist.) My hair was glamorous just like I imagined it would be and it stayed put the entire day. Long and curled locks off to one side, volume on top…it was perfect! If you are a bride and think you don’t need your makeup/hair done by a professional, think again and call Minia. Minia did the makeup for my wedding earlier this month, Sept 2nd. She did my entire bridal party and mothers’ hair as well as mine, the bride. Everyone looked gorgeous!
For my wedding hair and makeup trial, Minia was warm and welcoming. We emailed back and forth with ideas, hers, since I was pretty clueless. She was supportive and had great ideas, positive the entire time.
The day of my wedding she arrived with an assistant, ready to make me look and feel beautiful for my special day. (she did all of our hair and makeup at the facility that my wedding was going to take place at.) She talked with each bridesmaids and helped guide the style, based on their preferences and her suggestions. A few had hair and makeup, including my mother. My mother looked radiant!
As for myself, Minia did a wonderful job. I received unending compliments, that day, and continue to based on my pictures.
My photographer, who has been in the business for a while, was so impressed she asked for Minia’s contact info, to be able to refer futures brides.

Minia is amazing! I booked her for my wedding, including 6 bridesmaids and two moms for hair and makeup. It was so hard to find someone who could accommodate such a large group, offer airbrush makeup, and still have it be reasonably priced. Minia was able to deliver on all 3 accounts.
